CASO Design Kitchen Flavour Spice and Coffee Grinder

The CASO Kitchen Flavour is a dual-cup electric grinder that handles both coffee and spices without cross-contamination between the two. It comes with two stainless steel cups: a 2-blade cup for grinding coffee beans up to 90g at a time (enough for 4 to 8 cups), and a 4-blade cup designed for nuts, herbs, spices, and pesto. The 200W motor runs at 24,000rpm via a pulse switch, giving you control over grind coarseness simply by adjusting how long you hold the button. A transparent lid lets you monitor the grind progress, and the safety lock means the grinder will only operate with the lid in place. The stainless steel housing and cups keep the design clean and practical, with a cable tidy for neat storage between uses.

Features:

Two dedicated stainless steel cups: Includes a 2-blade cup for grinding coffee beans and a 4-blade cup for processing nuts, herbs, spices, and similar ingredients, keeping flavours separate between uses.
200W pulse motor at 24,000rpm: The 200W motor operates via a pulse switch, allowing grind coarseness to be controlled by adjusting the duration of grinding rather than a separate setting.
90g coffee capacity for 4 to 8 cups: The coffee cup holds up to 90g of beans, sufficient for 4 to 8 cups per grind depending on brewing method and strength preference.
Transparent lid with safety lock: The clear lid lets you monitor the grind in progress, and a safety function prevents the grinder from operating unless the lid is correctly fitted.
Stainless steel housing with cable tidy: The case, blade unit, and housing are all stainless steel, keeping the grinder easy to wipe clean, with a cable winding facility for tidy worktop storage.

Care instructions:

Cups and blades: Remove the cup from the motor base and wipe clean with a damp cloth or brush after each use. Do not immerse the motor base in water. The cups can be rinsed under running water; dry thoroughly before reattaching.
Between coffee and spice use: Wipe the cup thoroughly between switching from coffee to spices or vice versa to avoid flavour transfer. A brief pulse with a small amount of uncooked rice can help clean residue from the blades before switching ingredients.
Exterior: Wipe the stainless steel housing with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
What to avoid: Do not immerse the motor unit in water. Do not operate without the lid. Do not grind very hard items such as whole nutmeg without checking the instruction manual for compatibility.

Questions and answers:

Can I use both cups for coffee at different grind sizes?
The 2-blade cup is designed and sized for coffee beans, whilst the 4-blade cup is intended for spices, nuts, and similar ingredients. You could use the 4-blade cup for coffee, but the blade configuration is optimised for the different textures of spices and herbs rather than for a consistent coffee grind. For best coffee results, use the 2-blade cup.

How do I control the grind size?
This is a pulse-operated grinder without discrete grind settings. Coarseness is controlled by the duration of grinding: shorter pulses give a coarser result, longer continuous pressing gives a finer grind. It takes a few tries to find the duration that gives your preferred grind for your brewing method.

Can I grind wet ingredients like pesto in the 4-blade cup?
The source data mentions pesto as a compatible ingredient for the 4-blade cup. For best results with wet or sticky ingredients, use the pulse function in short bursts rather than continuous grinding, and clean the cup promptly after use to prevent residue from drying on the blades.
