CASO Design VinoCase Tabletop Wine Cooler

The CASO VinoCase is a tabletop wine cooler designed for a single bottle, positioned as a serving accessory rather than a storage appliance. Its purpose is to maintain the temperature of a bottle that has already been chilled, rather than to chill a warm bottle from room temperature. The temperature is adjustable from 5 to 18 degrees C in 1-degree increments via sensor touch controls and an LED display, covering the serving range for white wine, sparkling wine, champagne, and lightly chilled reds. At 28 decibels it operates quietly enough for a dining table or sideboard, and the matt black housing suits most kitchen and dining room aesthetics. It accommodates bottles up to 9cm in diameter, which covers standard wine and champagne bottle sizes. Compact at 13.5cm wide, it takes up minimal table space.

Features:

Temperature control from 5 to 18 degrees C in 1-degree increments: Electronically adjustable temperature via sensor touch controls covers the full serving range for white wine, sparkling wine, champagne, and lightly chilled reds, with 1-degree precision.
Quiet 28dB operation: At 28 decibels the cooler operates quietly enough for a dining table or living room without being disruptive during a meal or conversation.
Single bottle design, up to 9cm diameter: Designed for one bottle at a time, accommodating standard wine and champagne bottle diameters up to 9cm, keeping the footprint compact at 13.5cm wide.
Sensor touch controls with LED display: Temperature is set and read via a sensor touch panel and LED display, keeping the exterior clean and straightforward to operate without mechanical controls.
Matt black housing: The sleek matt black exterior complements contemporary kitchen and dining room environments and resists the fingerprint marking common on gloss finishes.

Care instructions:

Interior: Wipe the interior with a damp cloth periodically. Ensure no liquid from bottle condensation pools at the base over time. Allow the interior to dry fully if wiping with a wet cloth.
Exterior: Wipe the matt black housing with a soft damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scourers that could mark the matt finish. A soft dry cloth removes any smears or marks.
Ventilation: Ensure the cooler has adequate ventilation around it when in use. Do not place it against a wall or in an enclosed space that would restrict airflow, as this affects cooling performance.
What to avoid: Do not place in direct sunlight or near a heat source. Do not use to chill bottles that contain carbonated drinks under high pressure without checking the bottle diameter first. Do not operate without a bottle in the cooler for extended periods.

Questions and answers:

Will this chill a warm bottle of wine?
The VinoCase is designed to maintain the temperature of a bottle that is already chilled, not to chill a warm bottle from room temperature. If you place a room-temperature bottle in the cooler it will cool it gradually, but the process will be slow. For best results, chill the bottle in the fridge first and then transfer it to the VinoCase to hold it at your chosen serving temperature.

What bottle sizes does it fit?
The cooler accommodates bottles with a diameter up to 9cm, which covers standard 75cl wine bottles and most champagne and sparkling wine bottles. Some magnum-format bottles or bottles with particularly wide bases may not fit. Check the diameter of any unusual bottle formats before purchasing.

What is the ideal temperature for different wines?
As a general guide: sparkling wine and champagne are typically served at 6 to 10 degrees C; white wines at 8 to 12 degrees C depending on the style; light reds at 12 to 16 degrees C; and fuller-bodied reds at 16 to 18 degrees C. The VinoCase's range of 5 to 18 degrees C covers all of these. Personal preference plays a role, and these are starting points rather than fixed rules.

How noisy is it in use?
The cooler operates at 28 decibels, which is quieter than a normal conversation (typically around 60 decibels) and comparable to a very quiet room. At that level it is unlikely to be audible at a dining table during a meal.
