CASO Design MG 25 Ecostyle Ceramic Microwave and Grill
The CASO Design MG 25 Ecostyle is a 25-litre microwave with a built-in 1000W grill, which opens up a range of cooking options that a microwave-only appliance cannot cover: browning, crisping, and gratinating in the same appliance you are already using to heat food. The interior uses a flat CASOTEK glass base rather than a rotating turntable, which accommodates larger and more awkwardly shaped dishes and makes the floor considerably easier to wipe down. The combination programmes blend microwave and grill functions automatically, and a sliding rack allows cooking on two levels simultaneously when using the grill. Five microwave power levels and a 30-minute timer with end signal are controlled via rotary knobs, and the interior Caso-clean-protection coating resists grease and residue. A practical and compact choice for a kitchen that needs a microwave to do more than reheat.
Features:
Flat CASOTEK ceramic glass base: The flat ceramic glass floor replaces a rotating turntable, accommodating larger and more unusually shaped dishes whilst being significantly easier to clean than a plate-and-ring assembly.
900W microwave with 1000W grill: A 900-watt microwave element combines with a 1000-watt grill, allowing browning, crisping, and gratinating tasks that a microwave-only appliance cannot perform.
Three combination programmes: Three preset combination programmes blend microwave and grill functions in optimised ratios, removing the need to manually switch between functions mid-cook.
Sliding rack for two-level cooking: An included sliding rack can be positioned at two heights, allowing simultaneous cooking on two levels when using the grill function.
Caso-clean-protection interior coating: The interior walls are coated with CASO's clean-protection finish, which resists grease and makes wiping down the cavity quicker and more thorough than an uncoated steel interior.

Care instructions:
After each use: Wipe the interior with a damp cloth while still slightly warm. The Caso-clean-protection coating resists grease, so light residue should come away easily without scrubbing. Pay attention to the ceiling of the cavity near the grill element.
Ceramic glass base: The flat glass base lifts out for cleaning. Wash with warm soapy water and dry before replacing. Do not use abrasive scourers on the glass surface.
Grill element: Allow the grill element to cool fully before wiping near it. Use a damp cloth to remove any splatter from the element area when cold.
Sliding rack: Remove the rack and wash in warm soapy water after use. It can also be placed on the top shelf of the dishwasher if needed, though hand washing is recommended to preserve the finish.
Exterior: Wipe the silver housing with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners on the exterior. Keep the door seal clean and check periodically that it is not damaged.
What to avoid: Do not use metal containers or foil in microwave mode. Do not operate the microwave when empty. Do not block the ventilation slots on the sides or rear of the appliance.
Questions and answers:
What can the grill function do that a standard microwave cannot?
The 1000W grill element sits at the top of the cavity and produces direct radiant heat, which browns and crisps surfaces in a way microwave energy cannot. It is useful for gratins, melting and browning cheese, crisping the skin on reheated dishes, and finishing items that have been cooked through in the microwave but need a browned top. The combination programmes run both simultaneously, which speeds up cooking whilst still producing a browned result.
Does the flat base mean dishes do not rotate during cooking?
Yes. The flat CASOTEK glass base is fixed rather than rotating. The microwave uses a different energy distribution system to compensate, rather than relying on turntable rotation to even out the cooking. The practical advantage is that rectangular dishes, large plates, and items with handles fit without obstruction, and cleaning the base is considerably simpler than removing and washing a turntable and its ring.
How many power levels does the microwave have?
There are five microwave power levels, selectable via the rotary control. The 30-minute timer and a final signal are also set via rotary knobs, keeping the controls straightforward to use without a digital interface.
What are the internal dimensions?
The internal cavity measures 31cm wide by 19cm high by 31.5cm deep, with a 25-litre total capacity. The flat base means the full floor area is usable without a turntable taking up central space.
