Care & Use Instructions
Before first use: Remove all labels and packaging. Wash the bowl in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
For oven use: Le Creuset stoneware is oven-safe up to 260°C. Always use oven gloves when handling hot stoneware. If heating a dish that's currently at room temperature, don't preheat your oven above 205°C (400°F). When using under the grill, maintain at least a 6.5cm gap between the heat source and the top of the bowl.
From freezer to oven: Never put a frozen dish directly into a preheated oven. Instead, place it in a cold oven, set the temperature, and allow both to heat up together. This prevents thermal shock.
Adding liquid to hot dishes: If you need to add liquid to a dish whilst it's in the oven, remove the bowl first and allow it to cool for a few minutes before adding liquid. This prevents thermal shock.
Daily cleaning: Wait for the bowl to cool down before cleaning. Wipe any leftovers off the base and sides. For stuck-on food, fill the bowl with warm, soapy water and let it soak for 15-20 minutes before washing as usual. You can hand wash or run through a full dishwasher cycle.
Storage: The bowl is freezer-safe, making it suitable for preparing dishes ahead. Le Creuset stoneware maintains even temperature, keeping cold foods cold and hot foods hot for longer.
Important notes:
- The dense stoneware provides exceptional thermal resistance—it will stay hot or cold longer than standard ceramics
- The scratch-resistant glaze maintains its appearance even with regular use
- Don't use abrasive cleaners or scourers on the glazed surface
- Whilst the stoneware is extremely durable, avoid impacts which could cause chipping
- Before serving from the oven, always check food is piping hot throughout
