The Le Creuset Signature Cast Iron Round Casserole has been loved by cooks for a century, and it is easy to see why. Perfectly suited to stews, roasts, soups, casseroles and baking, it is the kind of one-stop pot that turns into an intense depth of flavour with very little effort. The cast iron construction retains heat brilliantly for even cooking and browning, and a tight fitting lid locks in moisture for perfectly cooked food that stays warmer at the table for longer. Large, easy grip handles make it simple to move from hob to oven to table, built to a standard that comes with a genuine lifetime guarantee.

Features:
Stay cool handle: A heat resistant knob (up to 260C) is designed for a better grip, even when using oven gloves to lift the lid.
Quick cleanup: A light enamel interior helps make cleaning easier.
Handles like a dream: Large handles let you move easily from hob to oven to table, even wearing oven gloves.
A real workhorse: Suitable for the oven, hob, induction or under the grill.
Locks in moisture: A tight fitting lid helps boost moisture and enhances flavour for perfectly cooked food.

Care:
Before first use: Wash in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
While cooking: Always use oven gloves when handling anything hot. Use Le Creuset silicone, wood or heat-resistant plastic tools where possible. Metal utensils can be used with care but shouldn't be used harshly or scraped over the surface. Cook on a medium or low heat and let it heat up gradually, and use the most appropriately sized hob ring, especially on induction.
Glass hobs: Never slide the casserole across a glass-topped hob, as this can damage both the base and the glass. Always lift it on, off, or across the surface.
Cleaning: Let it cool before cleaning. Wipe off any leftovers, and soak stuck-on food in warm soapy water for 15 to 20 minutes before washing. Avoid abrasive cleaners, metal scourers or stiff brushes. Dry well and store in a dry place.
Cold water warning: Never plunge a hot cast iron casserole into cold water, as this can crack the enamel. Let it cool for 10 to 15 minutes first.
Washing: We recommend handwashing rather than the dishwasher, to protect the enamel finish over time.

Questions and Answers:
Q: How many people does each size serve?
A: The 20cm serves around 2-3 people, the 22cm 3-4, the 24cm 4-5, the 26cm 6, the 28cm 6-8, and the 30cm 8-10.

Q: Is this a good first casserole to buy?
A: Yes, round is the most versatile shape and the easiest to store, which makes it the natural starting point if you're buying your first one. If you're only buying one, a size in the middle of the range is usually the most useful, since it handles everything from weeknight meals to entertaining.

Q: Is it suitable for induction hobs?
A: Yes. Just make sure you use it on the most appropriately sized ring, as using the wrong size on an induction hob can mean it doesn't get recognised.

Q: Is it dishwasher safe?
A: We recommend handwashing rather than the dishwasher, to protect the enamel finish over time.
