The Le Creuset Stoneware Petite Casserole is small but properly useful, whether you are serving a single portion, a small plate side dish, or a dish of your favourite dip or nibbles. Made from specialist clays, the glazed stoneware is scratch resistant, holds an even temperature, and is genuinely strong and durable. Its lid means you can use it to heat sauces in the microwave or keep snacks fresh, and its distinctive three ring design matches Le Creuset's iconic cast iron pots, so it sits naturally alongside an existing collection. Small but mighty, it is the kind of piece that earns its place in daily use.

Care

  • Before first use: Wash in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • While cooking: Always use oven gloves when handling anything hot. When using under the grill, always leave at least a 6.5cm gap between the heat source and the top of the product.
  • Reheating from frozen or room temperature: Don't put a frozen dish into a preheated oven. Place it in a cold oven and let both heat up together, and always check food is piping hot throughout before serving. If a dish is at room temperature, don't preheat the oven above 205C. If adding liquid to a dish already in the oven, take it out and let it cool for a few minutes first.
  • Cleaning: Let it cool before cleaning. Wipe off any leftovers, and soak stuck-on food in warm soapy water for 15 to 20 minutes before washing. Wash and dry by hand, or put it through a full dishwasher cycle.
