There’s no email today….just my heart felt thanks to you if you made to Babette’s funeral on Thursday, and apologies if you did, and we managed to talk, this system doesn’t know that…!
If you did make it, but we didn’t manage to speak, please accept my apologies.
If you weren’t able to make it and would have wanted to, then I can report that it seemed to be a splendid send off for her and a truly great celebration of her life.
If you didn’t know Babette and therefore would have had no reason to come along, then sorry for this possibly puzzling email….we’ll be back to normal in a week or two.
In the meanwhile I hope you have a peaceful and pleasant weekend.
Kind regards
Andrew
Still time to donate
Thank you very much for your kind donations.
There's still time to donate to our JustGiving campaign on behalf of Marie Curie and B@titude, two very worthwhile charities close to our hearts.
I have been deeply moved and affected by Babette’s progress through the blog and now I feel saddened by her passing. I am sorry we never met in person but her warmth and positive attitude to life and all it could throw at you will resonate with me forever.
I know you are surrounded by loving family and friends: may you find comfort from each other in the days ahead and may Babette rest in peace.
Whilst I didn’t know Babette personally, her love and light have clearly touched the lives of so many, including myself through her journey – a truly inspirational woman. My sincere condolences to Andrew and the family.
Hi Andrew,
I’m so glad Babette’s funeral was a lovely celebration of her life. I was so sad not to be able to attend due to illness. Thank you for all the messages and updates.
Fondest wishes Jayne x
Thank you so much for your mail this morning Andrew. . We only met Babette in the shop but soo many times and over so many years and so many issues that we regarded each othe as friends. We couldn’t come yesterday as Peter has only just come out of hospital after a two week stay there with his poor very broken leg. We are so pleased that lovely Babette had a good send off and we shall be donating in memory of her. Patricia and Peter Booth
Happy memories of Babette and her culinary wisdom. Andrew/family … please be kind to yourselves and live in the moment.
