Babette in Paris

Babette in Paris in 2019, expertly photographed by Andrew.

There’s no email today….just my heart felt thanks to you if you made to Babette’s funeral on Thursday, and apologies if you did, and we managed to talk, this system doesn’t know that…!

If you did make it, but we didn’t manage to speak, please accept my apologies.

If you weren’t able to make it and would have wanted to, then I can report that it seemed to be a splendid send off for her and a truly great celebration of her life.

If you didn’t know Babette and therefore would have had no reason to come along, then sorry for this possibly puzzling email….we’ll be back to normal in a week or two.

In the meanwhile I hope you have a peaceful and pleasant weekend.

Kind regards

Andrew

What a lovely photo. We didn’t know Babette, but of course met her many times in the Reigate shop over the years. Her warmth and kindness was evident with every encounter. Her enthusiasm for all things cooking was infectious, her extensive knowledge, invaluable. And her sense of fun shone through. Always smiling, always welcoming. Our thoughts a condolences are with all of you who loved her. Sam & Stephen.

Thank you for all the messages about Babette. I knew her kindness. She changed the lives of those she met.i was thinking about her on the day of her funeral. I am thankful her suffering has ended, but sad that yours continues and maybe grows as you experience her loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
