KitchenAid 2 Slice Artisan Toaster

- My choice for the ‘show and tell’ at the Art of Living company meeting, in February 2020, was the KitchenAid Artisan 2 slot toaster – a wonderful appliance! I appreciate its quality, its style, its technology and the fact it comes in various colours.
The quality speaks for itself, it's made from die-cast aluminium with extra wide slots. It has a warranty of 5 years and it weighs in at a whopping 6 kilos. Maybe best to find it a cosy spot all to itself in the kitchen? The style is so – retro (similar to the KitchenAid Artisan mixer), it’s bang up to date and coming as I do from a design background, style matters! It is neat with a long cord length with 137.2 cm, which can be tidied neatly underneath.
Techy delight
The technology, well what can I say? It’s wonderful . . . . it dings to glide down toast, it dings to glide toast up, if you’re not fast enough after 45 seconds to remove it, the toast disappears back down to keep warm for you for a further 3 minutes. The toaster is great for toast, bagels, frozen bread and toasted sandwiches (it comes with a sandwich cage), however I help the cheese on its way by popping it into the microwave for a moment or two before toasting it – that gives it just a little extra gooeyness (technical term…). It also has seven LED lit shades of toasting, catering for the majority of peoples tastes. And last but not least, a crumb tray!
Great range
I mentioned colours. At the moment it’s available in Almond, Empire Red, Candy Apple (mine, matches my kitchen a treat!) Onyx Black, Cast Iron Black, Medallion Silver and we have it on good authority that there will be two new exciting colours for 2020 added to the range! Watch this space! At the moment The KitchenAid Artisan Tilt Head stand mixers also come in Almond, Cast Iron Black, Medallion Silver and Candy Apple, so the one would match the other? Just saying… In conclusion, if you’ve not guessed it, I’m totally in awe of this appliance!

- I recall letting a customer “Ann” know that they were imminent, as she’d written to me when I first talked about the nylon ones that we introduced back in March this year. She wanted to avoid plastics altogether and so was willing to wait for the cotton version to arrive. Well “Ann” and everyone else, they have arrived! They come in a set of three of the same size, are made of organically grown cotton, have paper packaging and are £9.95 a set.
