The Zwilling Pro Utility Knife 13cm is a practical knife with a serrated blade that makes even the most demanding cutting techniques a breeze. It can, for example, be used to chop tomatoes without squashing them. This practical 13 cm utility knife slices through the skin of the fruit or vegetable first before cutting the delicate flesh inside and can also be used to cut sausage and cheese. Its short blade means it can also be used for slicing bread rolls.
The kitchen knives from the Zwilling Pro collection are enhanced with a blade that is forged from one piece of steel. The full tang blade seamlessly merges with the plastic handle. The handle is secured to the steel with three rivets. The transition between the handle and steel is seamless. No dirt can accumulate in between.
Friodur steel chef's knife
The blade is made from ice-hardened Friodur steel. During this process the steel is heated in 4 stages to 1000°C and cooled to -70°C. Zwilling perfected this technique, which guarantees optimum sharpness, elasticity and corrosion resistance. The knife is sharpened in five steps and the result is a perfectly sharpened knife. The crop of the knife does not extend to the edge of the blade to make sure you can easily sharpen it on a sharpening stone.
Are the kitchen knives dishwasher safe?
Thanks to the seamless construction and the materials used, knives from the Zwilling Pro collection are dishwasher proof. We do, however, advise against it. Most types of detergent are too aggressive. In addition, it is possible that the knife could come into contact with other hard items in the dishwasher, which could damage the edge and wear out the knife.
