Quick Overview: A 29.5cm fine grater with bidirectional micro-serrations, non-slip foot, and protective cover. Charcoal grey handle. Perfect for ginger, nutmeg, citrus zest, and hard cheeses.

KitchenAid Fine Etched Grater Charcoal Grey

This KitchenAid fine grater combines efficient design with kitchen durability. At 29.5cm long, it provides comfortable control whilst the smooth charcoal grey handle offers secure grip during use.

The stainless steel grating surface features unique micro-serrations that work in both directions, speeding up grating as you can push forward and pull back without lifting. This bidirectional design makes quick work of fresh ginger, whole nutmeg, citrus zest, garlic, and hard cheeses like Parmesan. The fine holes create delicate, almost powder-like results that release intense flavour without chunky texture. A cushioned non-slip foot at the base grips bowls or cutting boards, keeping the grater stable whilst you work. The protective blade cover ensures safe storage in drawers.

Key features include:

  • Bidirectional micro-serrations: Grate in both directions for faster, more efficient food prep
  • Fine grating surface: Produces delicate results perfect for intense flavours
  • Non-slip foot: Cushioned base grips bowls and cutting boards for stability
  • Protective cover: Keeps grating surface safe in drawers and during storage
  • Stainless steel construction: Durable grating surface resists rust and wear
  • Ergonomic handle: Comfortable grip with debossed KitchenAid logo and hanging loop
  • Dishwasher safe: Easy cleaning without hand washing required
  • Lifetime guarantee: Backed by KitchenAid's warranty against manufacturing defects

Suitable for grating fresh ginger, whole nutmeg, citrus zest (lemons, limes, oranges), garlic, hard cheeses like Parmesan, and chocolate. The charcoal grey finish coordinates with most kitchen colour schemes.

What Customers Ask About KitchenAid Fine Grater

This fine grater excels at grating ginger, fresh nutmeg, garlic, citrus zest, hard cheeses like Parmesan, and chocolate. The fine holes create delicate shreds perfect for adding intense flavour to dishes without chunky texture.

The micro-serrations are designed to grate effectively in both directions - pushing forward and pulling back. This speeds up grating as you don't need to lift the grater after each stroke, making the task faster and less tiring.

Fine graters have smaller holes that produce delicate, almost powder-like results perfect for ginger, nutmeg, and citrus zest. Medium graters produce larger shreds suitable for melting cheese and garnishing. Fine graters create more intense flavour as they expose more surface area.

The cushioned non-slip foot at the base grips bowls or cutting boards, keeping the grater stable whilst you work. This provides better control and safety during grating.

KitchenAid provides a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects. If the product fails under normal use due to a manufacturing fault, it will be replaced. This doesn't cover damage from misuse or normal wear over time.

Care & Use Instructions

Before first use: Remove protective cover and wash in warm soapy water or dishwasher.

Daily cleaning: Dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. For hand washing, use warm soapy water and a brush to clean between the grating holes. Rinse thoroughly and dry promptly. Be careful handling the sharp grating surface.

Using the non-slip foot: Position the grater over a bowl or cutting board with the cushioned foot engaged. Apply gentle downward pressure whilst grating to keep it stable.

Bidirectional grating technique: Push forward and pull back in smooth motions. The micro-serrations work in both directions, so you don't need to lift the grater between strokes. This is particularly efficient for fibrous ingredients like ginger.

Safety: Always use the protective cover when storing. The grating surface is very sharp - grate away from your body and keep fingers away from the holes. For small items like nutmeg, use the last piece to push the previous piece through rather than grating right to the end.

Storage: Use the protective cover for drawer storage, or hang using the built-in loop. Store in a dry location.
