Some Le Creuset Offers and New Lines
20th February 2021
I was going to write about something deep and meaningful (to me at least) this weekend but we’ve been so busy on the website and trying to write to the folks at Brightpearl to tell them about their shortcomings. As well as, updating pricing on Le Creuset and on Riedel, and having 4 pallets of Le Creuset and 1 of Riedel delivered, I ran out of time to do anything but tell you about some new lines and offers that my chums at Le Creuset have come up with. Now, before you roll your eyes heavenwards, thinking to yourself, “does this bloke have no imagination, does he have nothing better to talk about than Le Creuset and Riedel”…bear with me because I’m going to perhaps, potentially, possibly, conceivably, make it worth your while! There are a couple of casseroles at £205 and £255, there’s a lovely jug at £45 and 4 new kitchen implements ranging from £9.50 to £13.95.
Le Creuset Casseroles
So, the Casseroles that Le Creuset refer to as Soup Pots, (a mistake as that suggests that you can only use them for soup…”) are 24cm and 28cm in diameter and have capacities of 3.1litres (good for 4 people) and 5.25litres (for 6-8 people) respectively. They are a little shallower than the normal Le Creuset casserole and have a more rounded base and are available in Cerise only. We don’t have many of them, so if they are of interest to you then don’t leave it too long as the offer on them is a pretty good one, I think.
A Jug for £25
Next, at a very different price point is an over stock that Le Creuset had of their rather lovely 2.2litre jug which is either not normally sold in the UK or on very limited distribution. It’s the same shape as their 0.6litre jug which I think is a lovely shape and we do very well with. At 2.2litres it is big, it’s about 3.5pints. So big enough for party quantities of Pimms, Water, Wine or Flowers! We’ve taken the last 60 odd that they had left so we have good stocks for the moment. The reason I got so carried away was that the RRP is £45 and in a bid to kick off the sales strongly we are doing it at only £25, which is about the same price you’d pay for the small 0.6litre jug.
Here are Eve, Kate and Claire looking a picture with their pitchers.
Le Creuset Utensils
Lastly, they have redesigned their four bestselling Silicon/ Wooden kitchen tools and substantially reduced the price in so doing by dint of simplifying the design but without losing any of the their practicality and quality. In fact, I wasn’t a fan of the old ones and prefer this less fussy design. Well done Le Creuset, in a year when I was expecting everything to go up because of Brexit and Covid they’re coming up with strong offers and clever redesigns. There are four pieces in the range which, for the most part, we have in all four colourways as well. I say for the most part, because I wasn’t sure about the basting brush when I saw it (on paper) so only took it in Cerise. But now it’s arrived I rather wish I’d ordered it in all 4 colours. Anyway, for the moment the basting brush is only in Cerise, but it does look like a good product. Very often silicon pastry / basting brushes are a bit weak kneed and floppy…this one’s got some substance!
I think that’s it for now except to say that we will be putting these emails in a blog format from next week so that if you want to comment publicly on them you may. I’ll give you a little more background to this decision over the next week or two. You will continue to get them normally as you have always done.
I trust you have a pleasant and peaceful weekend.
