Is Demeyere worth it?
Demeyere is a long-term investment, and certainly one of the most worthwhile out of the products we sell.
Your Demeyere cookware will last a lifetime: they won't get damaged easily, and are built with the best technologies in the industry.
Unique to Demeyere, we offer Demeyere Seconds. These feature the same Demeyere quality, but often with a small blemish of some sort. However, we can struggle to see what's wrong with them!
Demeyere Bases
The 7-PlyMaterial and 5-PlyMaterial bases give you outstanding temperature control and heat distribution to the edge of the pan, working alongside Demeyere's performance technologies.
What is 7-PlyMaterial?
Perfect temperature control
There are many manufacturers who use a 3-ply construction, there are some manufacturers who use a 4 or 5-ply construction, but Demeyere are the only manufacturers in the world who have developed a 7-ply construction.
Used in Atlantis, John Pawson and Apollo, the 7-PlyMaterial construction comes in two types for "Straight" and "Conical" models.
7-PlyMaterial "Straight" models
Called InductoSeal, this technology consists of seven layers including a heat-conducting core of pure copper and Demeyere's unique Triplinduc material.
The copper disk, hermetically embedded in the base and sealed with silver, ensures optimum heat distribution and provides the benefits of cooking with copper without the maintenance.
It responds so fast to heat changes that it outperforms all competitors in speed but also in maintaining a constant heat even on a very low setting. The base is welded to the underside of the pan, stopping any dirt or fat build up.
InductoSeal is used in Atlantis & John Pawson Saucepans, Sauté Pans, Casseroles and Stock Pots.
7-PlyMaterial "Conical" models
Called InductoBase this technology consists of seven layers including a heat-conducting core of pure aluminium and Demeyere's unique TriplInduc technology.
It is used in the base of the saucepans of the Apollo range also in the whole body of the Conical Sauté/Saucier of both the Atlantic and Apollo ranges, and also in the whole body of the Atlantis Proline frying pans.
This construction allows an even distribution of heat throughout even on a low heat. When used on Sauciers or Frying Pans it delivers even heat all over the surface allowing for better sauce making and consistent frying over a larger area.
What is 5-PlyMaterial?
Excellent heat distribution to the very edge
This special combination of different alloys, including aluminium, is still superior to most 3 ply on the market. Used on Industry and speciality items.
Demeyere Technologies
Demeyere pans contain unique technologies that offer incredible performance. From TriplInduc, providing exceptional induction efficiency, to Silvinox, keeping your pans shining, Demeyere's technologies take cooking to an unparalleled level.
What is TriplInduc?
Up to 30% more efficiency on induction
TriplInduc® is a unique combination of three alloys that provides up to 30% more efficiency on induction hobs.
It is used in the Atlantis, John Pawson and Apollo ranges and form three of the 7-PlyMaterial® construction.
What is ControlInduc?
Heat control technology for induction
Some years back Demeyere developed a little bijou of ingenuity. Initially done for pans with a non-stick coating which get destroyed when overheated above 280°C, Demeyere manage to create a pan which was magnetic up to 250°C, and then stopped being magnetic. Meaning that one could never bring the coating to 280°C or above. We sell less Demeyere "coated" products because we are keen to explain to customers how to use stainless steel pans without them sticking.
ControlInduc is available in both "coated" and "uncoated".
What is Silvinox?
Your pans will still look new in 20 years
Silvinox is an electrochemical treatment unique to Demeyere that makes the stainless steel easy to clean and very resistant to fingerprint marks, harsh detergents and strong acidic foods.
The products retain their silvery-white colour, even after years of use.
How do I clean stainless steel Demeyere pan?
They are very easy to clean - you can either pop them in the dishwasher or if you prefer to clean it by hand, you can use a scourer since it is stainless steel. We recommended the Lady Jane Scourer used with Demeyere’s own Cream Cleaner.
