What Customers Ask About This Product
What's included in the set?
A 15cm meat fork and a 20cm Yatagan slicing knife.
What makes the Ideal Brass range distinctive?
Its handle construction uses three brass rivets, a traditional contrast against the finely finished forged blades.
Where is it made?
In Thiers, France, at the Rousselon factory, which has specialised in forged knives since 1852.
In our experience...
4116 NITRO+ steel is chosen specifically for edge retention. The added nitrogen reinforcement is what helps a blade like this stay sharp for longer between sharpenings.
The three brass rivets aren't just decorative. They're a traditional, functional way of securing a full tang handle, as well as being the visual signature of this particular range.
A dedicated carving set changes how a roast gets served. Having a proper fork and slicing knife pairing makes carving noticeably easier and neater than using general kitchen knives.
Thiers has a genuine heritage behind this range. The Rousselon factory has specialised in forged knives since 1852, which is part of what the large bolster and triangular blade construction reflect.
