Can I use the roasting tin on the hob to make gravy?
Yes, the Samuel Groves hard anodised roaster is suitable for gas, ceramic and electric hobs, but unfortunately doesn't work with induction. This allows you to make gravy directly in the tin using the meat juices, or to start dishes on the hob before transferring to the oven.
How do I use the digital thermometer?
Set your target temperature using the arrow buttons, insert the probe into the thickest part of your meat (avoiding bone), and place in the oven. The thermometer unit stays outside with a 1.2-metre cable, displaying both current and target temperatures. A 70dB alarm sounds when the perfect temperature is reached.
Are the Damascus steel knives difficult to maintain?
The Katana Saya knives require hand-washing only and should be dried immediately. Regular sharpening with a whetstone or diamond sharpener maintains the edge. Store in the provided leather sheath. With proper care, Damascus steel knives last for decades whilst maintaining exceptional sharpness.
Will the roasting rack fit inside the roaster?
The roasting rack measures 26.5cm x 20.5cm, whilst the roaster's internal dimensions are approximately 26.5cm x 33cm.

Is everything dishwasher-safe?
The chopping board, gravy boat, and roasting rack are dishwasher-safe. However, the Samuel Groves roaster and carving set must be hand-washed only to preserve their finishes and the knives' edges. The rack will however last longer if hand-washed as non-stick coatings get damaged by the harshness of the dishwasher.

Hand-wash only: Wash in hot soapy water and dry immediately. Never use the dishwasher as it can damage the anodised surface.
Developing patina: Over time with proper use, the roaster develops a natural patina that makes it virtually non-stick. This is desirable and improves performance.
Storage: Store in a dry place. The surface may display small contact points from manufacturing - this is normal and doesn't affect performance.

How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery to mainland UK addresses can take up to 7 working days, but is usually 3-4, and is free for orders over £49. Next day delivery may be available for £9.95 on orders placed before 1pm Monday to Thursday, depending on your location and our stock levels.
