The lid is completely leak proof and has been designed so that it is easy to dismantle/reassemble and thoroughly clean all parts - they are also all dishwasher safe. Lid dishwasher-safe

How long does it keep drinks hot?
This product will maintain the temperature of hot drinks for a few hours; however this time depends on how often you open the lid, allowing heat to escape. While the stainless steel cup is vacuum-insulated, the plastic lid is not. Pre-heating your travel cup and using piping hot drinks will help to maintain a high temperature for longer, however after about 2 hours, the temperature of your drink may begin to reduce (especially if you have opened and closed it a few times while drinking). The purpose of the product is to maintain drink temperature over a few hours, rather than the whole day.
Is the Insulated Travel Cup dishwasher-safe?
The lid is dishwasher-safe, but the vacuum insulated stainless steel cup is hand wash only. Wash the cup with warm soapy water before you use it for the first time, and again after every use. DO NOT immerse in water. Dry thoroughly after leaving it to drain. Always store with lid removed.
How do I remove stains?
Fill cup with hot water, add one teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda (DO NOT put lid on while using this cleaning method). For best results soak overnight. Always rinse before reuse. Alternatively, use a solution of vinegar and water.
