What Customers Ask About This Product
What mesh size should I use for flour?
The 0.5mm mesh suits flour and powdered sugar.
What about almond or hazelnut powder?
Use the 1mm mesh for almond and hazelnut powders.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Yes, this sieve is completely dishwasher safe.
What are the coarser meshes for?
The 2mm mesh suits puree or fish mousse, and the 3mm mesh suits sifting, hazelnut peeling, praline grain, or grating almond paste.
In our experience...
Four interchangeable meshes make this genuinely versatile, not just a flour sieve. The range from 0.5mm up to 3mm covers everything from fine icing sugar to coarser praline work.
Sifting flour is about more than removing lumps. It also aerates the flour, which genuinely affects the texture of the finished bake.
Being entirely stainless steel matters for a tool used with acidic or oily ingredients. It won't react or hold onto odours the way some other materials might over repeated use.
A drum sieve suits different tasks to a mesh strainer. Its flat, wide format is built specifically for sifting dry ingredients, rather than straining liquids.
