Before first use: Wash the mug and lid in warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry.

Filling: Preheat with hot water for 1-2 minutes for hot drinks, or pre-chill with ice water for cold, then empty before adding your actual drink. Leave some space at the top to prevent overflow when closing the lid.
