Why should grating fresh nutmeg be a hassle? With the Billund Nutmeg Grinder, it's anything but. Designed to make the everyday feel playful, it brings charm and joy to the kitchen table. The design combines soft geometric shapes with bold colour, based on a biocomposite made of wood-based cellulose fibres, giving it a lightweight, easy feel.
- Stores a whole nutmeg: Keeps your fingers safe while storing and grating.
- Simple clockwise grinding action: Lift the top, load a nutmeg, and turn to grate.
- Biocomposite construction: Made from wood-based cellulose fibres, lightweight with a natural feel.
- Playful, colourful design: Brings genuine character to the kitchen table.
What Customers Ask About This Product
Is it dishwasher safe?
No, this grinder is not dishwasher safe.
How do I load a nutmeg?
Lift up the top part, put in your whole nutmeg, then put the top part back and turn clockwise to grate.
Is it safe to use?
The grater itself is sharp, so it isn't suitable for children, and it should be handled carefully, since dropping it may cause damage.
In our experience...
Grinding your own nutmeg makes a genuine flavour difference. Freshly grated nutmeg carries far more aroma than the pre-ground version, which loses potency quickly once opened.
A biocomposite body means genuine, expected variation. Colour variation and minor speckles can occur on the surface due to the natural cellulose fibres, which is normal rather than a fault.
The enclosed design is a real safety feature, not just styling. Keeping the whole nutmeg and the grating mechanism inside the body protects fingers in a way an open grater doesn't.
