What Customers Ask About Jamie Oliver Big Love All Rounder Board
Can I use this board for both chopping and serving?
Yes, this board is designed as an all-rounder for both preparation and presentation. However, frequent knife use will create cut marks over time. Many people use it primarily for serving to preserve its appearance, whilst doing heavy chopping on a dedicated cutting board.
How do I care for mango wood?
Hand-wash only with warm soapy water, then dry immediately with a towel. Never soak or put in the dishwasher, as prolonged water exposure causes warping and cracking. Treat periodically with food-safe mineral oil to maintain the wood's appearance and prevent drying.
Will a whole pizza fit on this board?
At 48cm, this board comfortably accommodates a large pizza (typically 12-14 inches). The generous size also allows space around the edges for serving tools or garnishes.
How heavy is this board?
The board weighs 2.01kg, which provides stability during use but requires two-handed carrying, especially when loaded with food. The substantial weight is typical for quality hardwood boards of this size.
What is the carved detail around the edge?
The board features decorative organic carved detailing around the perimeter, adding visual interest and a handcrafted touch. This detail enhances the board's appearance when used for serving whilst maintaining functionality for food preparation.
Is this board FSC-certified?
Yes, both the mango wood and packaging are FSC-certified, ensuring the wood comes from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits. This is an internationally recognised standard for sustainable forestry.

Care & Maintenance Instructions
Daily cleaning: Hand-wash with warm soapy water immediately after use. Dry thoroughly with a clean towel straight away - never leave wood to air dry or soak in water.
Critical - never dishwasher: Wood and dishwashers don't mix. The prolonged exposure to heat and moisture causes warping, cracking and splitting. Always hand-wash only.
Oil treatment: Periodically treat the board with food-safe mineral oil or dedicated wood board oil. This prevents the wood from drying out, maintains its appearance, and provides some moisture resistance. Apply oil when the wood looks dry, typically every 1-2 months depending on use.
Removing stains or odours: For stubborn stains, make a paste with baking soda and water, gently rub, then rinse and dry immediately. For odours, wipe with lemon juice, rinse, and dry thoroughly.
Sanitising after raw meat: After cutting raw meat, wash thoroughly with hot soapy water, then wipe with a solution of one tablespoon white vinegar to one cup water. Rinse and dry immediately.
What to avoid: Never soak in water, place in the dishwasher, use harsh chemicals, or expose to extreme temperature changes. Don't use the board as a hot pad for pots and pans.
Storage: Store in a dry place with good air circulation. If storing vertically, ensure it's stable and secure. Avoid damp cupboards or areas with temperature fluctuations.
Natural characteristics: Some colour variation, minor grain irregularities, or small knots are natural features of mango wood and add to each board's unique character. The wood may also develop a natural patina over time, which is normal and desirable.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if I've used it and don't like it?
Return it anyway. Our no quibble guarantee covers used items - if it doesn't do what you wanted, we'll refund you. This applies even after you've used it for chopping or serving.
How does the Half-Price Replacement guarantee work?
Valid for 2 years from purchase date. If you accidentally break this board, we'll replace it at half price with proof of purchase and evidence of breakage. Photos of the damage are acceptable.
How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery to mainland UK addresses can take up to 7 working days, but is usually 3-4, and is free for orders over £49. Next day delivery may be available for £9.95 on orders placed before 1pm Monday to Thursday, depending on your location and our stock levels. You can also collect from our shops in Cobham or Reigate, or our warehouse in Redhill.
Why can't I put this in the dishwasher?
Dishwashers expose wood to prolonged heat and moisture, causing warping, cracking and splitting. The harsh detergents also strip natural oils from the wood. Hand-washing and immediate drying preserves the board's integrity and beautiful appearance.
Will the wood colour vary between boards?
Yes, natural wood variation means each board is unique with individual grain patterns and colour tones. This is a desirable characteristic of genuine mango wood, not a defect. The wood may also darken slightly over time with use and exposure to light.
