Le Creuset Holly Cappuccino Mug 0.2L Artichaut
The Le Creuset Holly Cappuccino Mug brings festive elegance to your coffee routine with its embossed holly design and sophisticated artichaut (artichoke green) glaze. Part of Le Creuset's limited edition Holly Collection, this mug combines seasonal charm with the practical functionality of their specialist stoneware, making it suitable for year-round use beyond the Christmas season.
The 200ml (0.2L) capacity is sized specifically for cappuccinos and flat whites - the traditional Italian cappuccino volume that allows proper layering of espresso, steamed milk, and foam. Made from Le Creuset's specialist fired clays, the stoneware retains heat effectively, keeping your coffee warm whilst remaining comfortable to hold. The embossed holly design is permanent - created before glazing - and won't wear off with washing or use.
Key features include:
- Holly Embossed Design: Festive pattern embossed into stoneware before glazing
- Artichaut Colour: Sophisticated soft green shade complementing the holly motif
- 200ml Capacity: Traditional cappuccino size, also perfect for flat whites
- Three-Ring Detail: Le Creuset's signature design element
- Versatile Use: Suitable for individual baked puddings, desserts, and hot drinks
- Specialist Stoneware: Even heat retention with chip, scratch, and stain resistance
- Wide Temperature Range: -23°C to +260°C for freezer-to-oven capability
- Multi-Purpose: Oven, microwave, and grill safe (not hob safe)
- 10 Year Warranty: Extended coverage on manufacturing defects
This mug is designed for those who appreciate festive design that transcends seasonal limitations, offering both decorative appeal and genuine versatility for everyday coffee drinking and individual dessert portions.
What Customers Ask About the Holly Cappuccino Mug
Is 200ml the right size for a cappuccino?
Yes, 200ml (0.2L) is the traditional Italian cappuccino size and also suits flat whites perfectly. This capacity allows proper layering of espresso, steamed milk, and foam. It's larger than an espresso cup but smaller than a standard mug, giving the ideal coffee-to-milk ratio.
Can I actually bake individual puddings in this mug?
Yes, the stoneware is oven-safe to 260°C, making it suitable for baked puddings, chocolate fondants, or crumbles. The 200ml capacity is ideal for single-portion desserts. Just ensure you don't subject it to thermal shock by placing a cold mug in a hot oven - warm it gradually or start in a cold oven.
Can I use this in the microwave?
Yes, Le Creuset stoneware is microwave-safe. You can reheat drinks or cook individual microwave puddings in it. Always use the handle when removing from the microwave as the mug will be hot.
Will the holly embossing wear off over time?
No, the holly design is embossed into the stoneware before glazing, making it a permanent part of the mug's structure. It won't wear off with washing or use. The design is protected under the glaze layer.

Care & Use Instructions
Before first use: Remove all labels and packaging. Wash your Le Creuset mug in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
For hot drinks: The stoneware retains heat effectively, keeping drinks warm longer than standard ceramic mugs. The glaze won't absorb coffee oils or tea tannins, and won't retain flavours between uses.
For oven use (puddings/desserts): The mug is oven-safe to 260°C. To prevent thermal shock, don't place a cold mug into a hot oven. Either warm it gradually or start with a cold oven and allow both to heat together. When removing from the oven, always use the handle with an oven glove or cloth.
For microwave use: Microwave-safe for reheating drinks or cooking individual portions. The handle will become hot during microwaving, so use a cloth when removing.
Temperature changes: Whilst the stoneware handles a wide temperature range (-23°C to +260°C), avoid sudden temperature changes. Don't pour boiling water into a mug straight from the freezer, or place a hot mug on a very cold surface.
Not for hob use: Never use this mug on the hob or any direct heat source. Stoneware is designed for oven, microwave, and grill use only.
Cleaning: Allow the mug to cool before washing. Whilst dishwasher-safe, we recommend hand-washing to preserve the glaze's lustre over time, particularly important for decorative pieces. Don't use abrasive cleaning agents or stiff brushes that might scratch the glaze. For stubborn stains, soak in warm, soapy water before washing.
Storage: The mug can be stored in the fridge or freezer once cooled. Ensure it's completely dry before freezing to prevent ice formation.
