Are all Signature knives compatible with this block?
No, the Signature Cook's Knife 25cm, Deep Santoku Knife 17cm and Flexible Slicing Knife 30cm are not compatible with this block.
Is it dishwasher safe?
No, knives should never go in the dishwasher, as they will blunt and chip. The block itself should never be submerged or soaked, as it will split, just wipe with a damp cloth if needed.

Storing knives blade-forward is a deliberate safety and usability choice. It means you're always reaching for the handle first, in the correct orientation to pull the knife out and use it immediately.
An upright block is specifically designed around limited worktop space. Fitting against a wall or under cupboards means it takes up far less counter footprint than a flat knife tray or drawer insert would.
Not every Signature knife fits this particular block. The larger 25cm cook's knife, the deep santoku, and the flexible slicing knife are all excluded, so it's worth checking compatibility before assuming a Signature knife will fit.
Wood needs different care to the knives it stores. The oak block should never be soaked or submerged, since that risks splitting it, quite different from the knives themselves, which just need a careful handwash.

Care & Use Instructions
Washing the knives: Rinse to remove food traces, then wash gently in warm soapy water with a soft cloth. Dry each knife thoroughly and individually. Never put knives in the dishwasher, as they will blunt and chip.
Caring for the block: Never submerge the block in water or let it soak, as this will cause it to split. Wipe with a damp cloth if necessary.
Chopping boards: Use wood or soft plastic boards to keep blades sharp for longest. Avoid glass, stone, metal or very hard bamboo.

How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery to mainland UK addresses can take 5-7 working days (but is usually much quicker than that), and it's free on orders over £49. Next day delivery is available for £9.95 on orders placed before 1pm Monday to Thursday, depending on your location and our stock levels. You can also collect from our shops in Cobham or Reigate, or our warehouse in Redhill.
Can I collect this item instead of having it delivered?
