The Smart Waffle Pro takes the guesswork out of waffles by calculating the cooking time for you. Select your batter style from Belgian, classic, chocolate, or buttermilk, choose your preferred colour from 12 settings, close the lid, and the machine counts down automatically. Thermally engineered heating elements distribute heat evenly across the deep cast aluminium plates, so you get consistent results across the whole waffle rather than crispy edges and undercooked centres. A batter moat catches any overflow so it cooks rather than drips, and the PFOA-free non-stick coating means the waffle releases cleanly every time. If your waffle needs just a touch more colour, the A Bit More button extends cooking without resetting the timer.
- Waffle IQ automatic cooking: Automatically calculates and counts down the correct cooking time based on your chosen batter style and colour setting, so you don't need to guess or watch the clock.
- 4 batter style presets: Dedicated settings for Belgian, classic, chocolate, and buttermilk waffles, plus a custom option, optimise cooking time for each batter type.
- 12 browning settings: A full range of 12 colour settings from light to dark lets you dial in exactly how you like your waffles, with an LCD that changes to orange once cooking begins.
- Thermal Pro even heat distribution: Thermally engineered heating elements spread heat evenly across the deep cast aluminium cooking plates, preventing overcooked edges and undercooked centres.
- A Bit More button with batter moat: Extends cooking time without resetting the timer if you want a touch more colour, whilst a built-in moat catches overflow batter so it cooks rather than spills onto the worktop.
What Customers Ask About This Product
What is the difference between the four batter style settings?
Each setting adjusts the cooking time to suit the characteristics of that particular batter. Belgian waffles are thicker and need longer, whilst classic and buttermilk batters have different densities and moisture levels. Chocolate batter browns differently due to its sugar and cocoa content. Selecting the right setting means the machine calculates the time accordingly rather than you having to work it out.
How many waffles does it make at once?
The Smart Waffle Pro makes 2 waffles per cycle. The deep cooking plates are designed for thicker, fluffier waffles, so each cycle produces a generous portion. If you're cooking for more people you'll need to run multiple cycles.
Is the non-stick coating safe to use?
Yes. The cast aluminium cooking plates have a PFOA-free non-stick coating, so they're free from that particular chemical of concern. Avoid using metal utensils on the plates to preserve the coating, and follow the care instructions for cleaning.
How do I use the BPA-free dosing cup?
The included dosing cup is sized to measure and pour the right amount of batter for each waffle, helping you avoid overfilling and reducing the chance of batter spilling over the edges. It's a small addition that makes the process noticeably cleaner and more consistent.
In our experience...
Batter consistency matters as much as the machine settings. Too thick and the batter won't spread properly across the plates; too thin and it runs over the edges regardless of the moat. A batter that coats the back of a spoon without being stiff is usually the right consistency for most waffle recipes.
The first waffle is often a calibration waffle. The first waffle out of a freshly heated machine is rarely the best one. It seasons the plates and gives you a read on the right pour amount for your specific batter. Don't judge the machine on number one.
Deep plates produce a different result to standard ones. Deep waffle plates make thicker, fluffier waffles with more pronounced pockets. This is great for holding toppings like syrup and fruit, but if you prefer a thinner, crispier waffle you'll need to adjust your browning setting upward and expect a slightly different texture.
Rest your batter before pouring. Leaving waffle batter to rest for 10 to 15 minutes after mixing allows the gluten to relax and any raising agents to activate. The result is a lighter, more even waffle than batter used straight from the bowl.
The A Bit More button is worth using rather than running a new cycle. If your waffle is slightly too pale, adding a bit more time from where you are preserves the cook you've already achieved. Starting a new cycle from scratch risks uneven results because the plates are already at a different temperature than they were at the start.

Care & Use Instructions
Before first use: Wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth before using the machine for the first time. Run the machine through one heat cycle without batter to condition the plates.
After each use: Allow the machine to cool fully before cleaning. Wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth or soft sponge. Do not use abrasive cloths or scourers as these will damage the non-stick coating.
Cleaning the batter moat: Wipe out the moat area after each use to prevent residue building up. Any batter that has cooked in the moat will release more easily once the machine has cooled completely.
Cleaning the dosing cup: Rinse the BPA-free dosing cup after each use. Check the manual for dishwasher compatibility.
What to avoid: Do not immerse the machine in water. Do not use metal utensils on the cooking plates as these will scratch the non-stick coating. Do not use abrasive cleaning products on the plates or housing.
