- Non-stick safe: Gentle nylon construction won't scratch or damage cookware surfaces
- Ergonomic handle: Well-balanced design with debossed KitchenAid logo and hanging loop

What Customers Ask About KitchenAid Slotted Spoon
Can I use this on non-stick pans?
Yes, the nylon head is specifically designed to be safe for all cookware including non-stick surfaces. It won't scratch or damage your pans.
What temperature can it handle?
The nylon head is heat-resistant up to 232°C (450°F), which covers all standard cooking temperatures including frying and boiling. This makes it suitable for draining pasta from boiling water or lifting fried foods from hot oil.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Yes, this slotted spoon is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. Place it on the top rack if you want to extend its life, though it's designed to withstand regular dishwasher cycles.
What's the lifetime guarantee?
KitchenAid provides a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects. If the product fails under normal use due to a manufacturing fault, it will be replaced. This doesn't cover damage from misuse or normal wear over time.
Can this go in the oven?
Whilst the nylon head can withstand up to 232°C, this tool is designed for stovetop cooking and serving, not oven use. The plastic handle may not be suitable for extended oven exposure.

Care & Use Instructions
Before first use: Wash in warm soapy water or dishwasher to remove any packaging residue.
Daily cleaning: Dishwasher safe on any rack. For hand washing, use warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. The nylon head may retain slight food odours initially, which fade with regular washing.
Avoid: Do not leave in direct contact with hot pan surfaces for extended periods. Whilst heat-resistant to 232°C, prolonged contact with very hot surfaces may affect the nylon over time. Do not use as a prying tool or for heavy stirring in thick mixtures.
Storage: Use the hanging loop for convenient storage. Store away from sharp objects that could scratch the nylon head.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I've used it and don't like it?
Return it anyway. Our no quibble guarantee covers used items - if it doesn't do what you wanted, we'll refund you. This applies even after you've cooked with it.
How does the Half-Price Replacement guarantee work?
Valid for 2 years from purchase date. If you accidentally break this item, we'll replace it at half price with proof of purchase and evidence of breakage. Photos of the damage are acceptable.
How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery to mainland UK addresses can take up to 7 working days, but is usually 3-4, and is free for orders over £49. Next day delivery may be available for £9.95 on orders placed before 1pm Monday to Thursday, depending on your location and our stock levels. You can also collect from our shops in Cobham or Reigate, or our warehouse in Redhill.
Will the white handle stain?
The porcelain white handle may show marks from very dark foods like turmeric or beetroot over time. Regular washing helps minimise this, and the handle is dishwasher safe for thorough cleaning.
Does this match other KitchenAid utensils?
Yes, it does match the rest of the range of KitchenAid utensils. However, this may not match your existing KitchenAid utensils as this range has been given a new design as of December of 2025.
Can I use this for deep frying?
Yes, the heat resistance of 232°C makes it suitable for lifting foods from hot oil (which typically reaches 160-190°C). The slots drain oil efficiently, though you may still want to transfer to paper towels for further draining.
What's the difference between this and a solid spoon?
A slotted spoon drains liquids as you lift, making it ideal for pasta, boiled vegetables, or fried foods. A solid spoon retains liquids, better for serving soups, stews, or sauces. Choose based on whether you need drainage.
