What Customers Ask About This Product
Is it dishwasher safe?
No, handwash only, since dishwashers can blunt and chip the blade and reduce its lifespan.
What's it best used for?
Precise slicing, dicing and chopping, genuinely versatile for most everyday kitchen tasks.
Which size should I choose?
The 13cm mini santoku suits detailed prep work, while the 18cm gives more reach for larger ingredients.
In our experience...
4116 NITRO+ steel is chosen specifically for edge retention. The added nitrogen reinforcement is what helps a blade like this stay sharp for longer between sharpenings.
Brass rivets aren't just decorative. They're a traditional, functional way of securing a full tang handle, as well as being the visual signature of the Ideal Brass range.
A santoku's curved blade suits a different technique to a straight-edged knife. That curve is what allows smooth, effortless slicing and dicing, rather than the up-and-down chop a flat blade encourages.
