What Customers Ask About This Product

Is it dishwasher safe?

No, handwash only and dry immediately, since dishwashers can blunt and chip the blade and reduce its lifespan.

What's it best used for?

Slicing, dicing and chopping meat, fish and vegetables, genuinely all-purpose.

What does santoku mean?

Santoku means 'three virtues' or 'three uses' in Japanese, referring to its ability to slice, dice and chop, and its design that handles meat, fish and vegetables.

In our experience...

Fluted indentations are a specific technical feature, not decoration. Small air pockets along the blade reduce suction, which is what stops food sticking as you cut.

A santoku earns the name 'three virtues' through genuine versatility. It's designed to handle meat, fish and vegetables equally well, rather than excelling at just one.

A sand-filled hollow handle is a deliberate Global design choice. It's specifically what balances the weight of the blade, giving the knife a comfortable, controlled feel rather than being blade-heavy.

It is not currently possible to deliver to the Republic of Ireland or mainland Europe. We hope to reinstate this service as soon as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Rest of the World

If your country is not listed — including the USA, Australia, and other destinations — this is most likely because couriers charge by volumetric weight: a combination of package size and weight that makes standard online rates impractical to calculate automatically.

Please call us on 01737 222996 with the details of your order. We will advise on shipping costs within 24 hours and ask whether you would like to proceed.

Before you order internationally, please note:

All overseas shipments are at your own risk. We recommend taking out appropriate transit insurance to cover any damage in transit.

Customs forms for all international packages declare the full value and a description of the contents. Any customs or import duties levied on arrival in your country are your responsibility. Your local customs office can provide further information.
