These small scalloped knives are labelled as tomato knives, as they're made precisely for cutting through fruit and vegetables with hard to break through skin, most obviously tomatoes, but also kiwis, plums, grapes and more. These knives work really well when the centre of the fruit is really soft or watery, where putting pressure on the fruit as you cut through could otherwise cause it to burst. Having a serrated knife makes things easier.
- Small serrated blade: Cuts cleanly through hard skins without crushing soft, watery centres.
- Genuinely purpose-built: Suited to tomatoes, kiwis, plums, grapes and similar produce.
- Scalloped edge: Grips firm skin without needing heavy pressure.
- Acute 15 degree cutting edge: Consistent with the wider Global Classic range.
What Customers Ask About This Product
Is it dishwasher safe?
No, handwash only and dry immediately, since dishwashers can blunt and chip the blade and reduce its lifespan.
What's it best used for?
Fruit and vegetables with hard-to-break skin and soft, watery centres, like tomatoes, kiwis, plums and grapes.
Can I use it for bread?
No, the blade is quite short, so it isn't really practical for bread.
In our experience...
A serrated edge solves a specific problem with soft, skinned produce. Pressing down with a plain blade risks bursting a watery centre, while serration lets the knife saw through the skin with far less pressure.
Its short blade is a deliberate trade-off. It's sized specifically for small, delicate produce, which is exactly why it's not suited to something like bread.

Care & Use Instructions
Washing: Handwash only and dry immediately. Sharp blades should never go in the dishwasher, as it can blunt and chip the edge and dramatically reduce the lifespan.
