What Customers Ask About This Product
Which side should I use for a tough steak?
The spiked side is best for breaking down tougher fibres before cooking.
Which side should I use for schnitzel or escalopes?
The flat side is designed for pounding cutlets thinner and wider.
Is it dishwasher safe?
No, handwash it instead, since the aluminium head isn't dishwasher safe.
In our experience...
Two sides means two genuinely different jobs. The spiked side works on texture and tenderness, while the flat side works on shape and thickness, so it's worth knowing which one suits what you're cooking.
A lightweight head isn't a compromise here. Aluminium keeps the tenderiser easy to swing repeatedly without tiring your arm, while still having enough weight behind it to do the job.
An oval handle is a deliberate ergonomic choice. It's shaped specifically to sit securely in the hand, which matters when you're applying repeated force.
