This durable, everyday Kuhn Rikon set brings together an 18/10 stainless steel saucepan, a stainless steel casserole, and a non-stick frying pan, usable on any hob or in the oven. Comfortable bakelite handles stay cool on the hob, and vented glass lids seal in the heat, flavours and aromas on the saucepan and casserole, while a thick, encapsulated base efficiently absorbs and spreads heat throughout the set.
- 18/10 stainless steel saucepan and casserole: 18% chromium for hardness and rust resistance, 10% nickel for corrosion resistance and enduring shine.
- 24cm non-stick frying pan: Rounds out the set for everyday frying.
- Fully encapsulated, impact bonded base: Optimum heat distribution across all three pieces.
- Vented ovenproof glass lids: Seal in heat and flavour on the saucepan and casserole while you watch the cooking.
- Suitable for all hob types, including induction: Oven safe up to 220C.
What Customers Ask About This Product
Is the whole set dishwasher safe?
The stainless steel saucepan and casserole can go in the dishwasher or be washed by hand. The non-stick frying pan should be handwashed, to protect the coating and help it last.
Can I use metal utensils?
Yes, on the uncoated saucepan and casserole, since there's no coating to protect. On the non-stick frying pan, we recommend silicone or wooden utensils instead.
What's included?
A 1.5L/16cm saucepan and a 3L/20cm casserole, both uncoated stainless steel with glass lids, plus a 24cm non-stick frying pan.
In our experience...
This set genuinely covers two different cooking styles. The uncoated pieces suit searing and browning at higher heat, while the non-stick frying pan suits everyday fat-free cooking, so the set is more versatile than a single-material one.
The water droplet test is worth learning for the uncoated pieces. Flicking water into a hot pan and watching how it behaves, beading and rolling rather than instantly evaporating or scattering, tells you when it's genuinely ready for searing.
Sticking on the uncoated pieces isn't always a problem. When meat first hits a hot, uncoated pan it sticks completely, and that's correct. It releases naturally once a crust has formed.
The non-stick pan doesn't need high heat to perform well. Sticking to medium heat protects the coating without sacrificing everyday cooking results.

Care & Use Instructions
Washing the saucepan and casserole: Dishwasher safe, or handwash with hot soapy water. Metal, silicone or wooden utensils can all be used.
Washing the frying pan: Handwash rather than the dishwasher, to protect the non-stick coating. Use silicone or wooden utensils rather than metal.
Judging heat on the uncoated pieces: Watch the fat, which thins and moves freely once hot enough, or use the water droplet test for searing: beading and rolling means the right temperature, instant evaporation means too cool, and scattering into small fast droplets means too hot.
General use: Heat pans gradually rather than starting on high heat. Match the pan diameter to the hob ring. Avoid dragging pans across a glass-topped hob.
Oven use: Use an oven shelf rather than the oven floor, and oven gloves when removing pans.
