What Customers Ask About This Product
What's the difference between the Signature range and 3-Ply?
It's the same technology and performance as 3-Ply. What makes Signature a bit more expensive is the finish, since the high shine polish costs more to produce, so you're paying for aesthetics rather than a functional difference.
Will scratches or marks affect how it performs?
No, any cosmetic marking on the surface finish doesn't affect the pan's cooking performance, it's purely visual.
Is it microwave safe?
No, it isn't suitable for microwave use.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Yes, this pan is dishwasher safe.
In our experience...
The Signature finish is a genuine cosmetic upgrade, not a performance one. It shares the same 3-ply construction and cooking performance as Le Creuset's standard 3-Ply range, so the extra cost is specifically for the high shine look.
That same shine has a trade-off worth knowing about. Scratches show up more visibly on Signature's polished finish than on 3-Ply, though this is purely cosmetic and doesn't affect how the pan cooks.
An uncoated surface is a deliberate choice for this pan. Without a non-stick coating, it can be taken to higher, more sustained heat, which is exactly what browning and caramelising need.
3-ply construction is about consistency, not just speed. Bonding stainless steel and aluminium together means heat spreads evenly across the whole pan, not just the centre.

Care & Use Instructions
Before first use: Wash in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
While cooking: Always use oven gloves when handling anything hot. Use the most appropriately sized hob ring, especially on induction. Cook on a medium or low heat and let it heat up gradually.
Induction hobs: Avoid the 'boost' function, which is intended for rapidly heating large volumes of water rather than cooking.
Glass hobs: Never slide the pan across a glass-topped hob, as this can damage both the base and the glass. Always lift it on, off, or across the surface.
Using salt: Don't pour salt directly onto the stainless steel surface. Add it to hot cooking liquid or food instead, to avoid damage.
Handling when hot: Rest the pan on a heat resistant surface once removed from the heat.
Grill use: When using under the grill, leave at least a 5cm gap between the heat source and the top of the pan.
Cleaning: Let it cool before cleaning. Wipe off any leftovers, and soak stuck-on food in warm soapy water for 15 to 20 minutes before washing.
Dishwasher: Dishwasher safe.
