In our experience...
What is natural cork? Natural cork is hand-harvested from cork oaks in the Montado forests of Portugal. A light ink smoking process enhances the natural pattern, so every piece has its own grain.
Why cork? Cork is harvested by hand from the bark of the cork oak roughly every nine years, and the tree is not felled, so the forests keep growing and storing carbon. Liga also runs a cork recycling scheme with its stockists.
