When there's a lot to grate, this extra-wide grater gets through it fast. Its ultra coarse blade makes chunky shreds of potato, cabbage, cucumber, pumpkin and cheese, so it's well suited to slaws, gratins and batch cooking.
- Extra-wide blade: A wider grating surface than the rest of the range gets through big batches quickly.
- Photo-etched blade: Ultra-sharp ultra coarse blade, made in the USA, cuts cleanly rather than tearing.
- Soft-touch handle: Ergonomic grip that stays comfortable while you grate.
- Non-slip rubber foot: Rests steadily at an angle on a board or bowl.
What Customers Ask About This Product
What's the difference between the Gourmet, Master and Black Sheep graters?
They share the same photo-etched, made-in-the-USA blades. The Gourmet Series has a soft-touch plastic handle, the Master Series a walnut handle, and the Black Sheep Series is black PVD-coated stainless steel from end to end. Choose by the handle you prefer to hold and how you want it to look.
How is it different from the Extra Coarse grater?
Its shreds are chunkier, and the blade is wider, so large vegetables like cabbage and pumpkin are easier to grate. The Extra Coarse makes slightly finer strands for rösti and fritters.
In our experience...
Squeeze watery veg after grating. Courgette and potato hold a lot of water. Squeeze them in a clean tea towel before frying and they'll crisp instead of steam.
Let the blade do the work. Sharp teeth need only light, steady strokes. Pressing hard doesn't grate faster and makes it easier to catch your knuckles.
Etched blades cut rather than tear. Photo-etched teeth slice food cleanly, where punched graters rip it. That gives lighter, fluffier cheese and zest, and less effort for you.

Care & Use Instructions
Daily cleaning: Rinse under running water straight after use, before food dries on, then let it drip dry.
Washing: Handwash only, in warm soapy water. The dishwasher blunts and chips fine blades over time, so they won't stay as sharp.

Yes. You can collect from our Reigate shop (72 High Street, RH2 9AP), our Cobham shop (16 Anyards Road, KT11 2JZ), or our warehouse in Redhill (40 Ormside Way, RH1 2LW).
