- Ice hardened German stainless steel: A harder, more resilient blade with exceptional longer lasting sharpness.
What Customers Ask About This Product
Is it dishwasher safe?
No, handwashing is recommended. Dishwashers can dull the blade faster and, over time, affect the handle.
What's it best used for?
Crusty bread, sourdough loaves and French sticks, as well as sandwiches and cakes.
Will it squash soft bread?
No, the serrated blade is specifically designed to cut through crust cleanly without squashing or tearing the softer crumb inside.
In our experience...
World Edge Geometry combined with ice hardened steel is what sets Professional knives apart. Together they give a harder, more resilient blade with genuinely longer lasting sharpness than a standard edge.
A serrated edge is essential for bread specifically. The teeth grip and saw through a firm crust without compressing the soft interior the way a plain blade would.
A pointed tip adds genuine versatility beyond loaves. It makes the knife useful for starting clean cuts into cakes and other baked items too, not just bread.

Care & Use Instructions
Washing: Handwash recommended. Rinse to remove food traces as soon as possible after use, then wash in warm soapy water with a microfibre cloth or non-abrasive brush. Avoid soaking, and always dry thoroughly immediately after washing with a microfibre cloth. Avoid scouring pads or abrasive cleaners, as these will scratch the surface.
Chopping boards: Use wood or soft plastic boards to keep the blade sharp for longest. Avoid glass, stone, metal or very hard bamboo, which can dull or damage the edge.
Handle care: Periodically apply a food-safe mineral oil to the handle to maintain its colour, wiping off any excess.
