What Customers Ask About This Product
Can I use this mill for salt?
No, this is a dedicated pepper mill. Salt requires a mill with a mechanism designed specifically for it, and mixing the two isn't recommended.
Is it dishwasher safe?
No, never submerge the mill in water or put it in the dishwasher, as this will damage the internal grinding mechanism.
How do I adjust the grind?
The CrushGrind mechanism adjusts easily from fine to coarse.
How much does each size hold?
The Medium holds approximately 50g of peppercorns, and the Large holds approximately 180g.
In our experience...
A ceramic mechanism is genuinely the right choice for a mill like this. It resists corrosion and stays sharp for far longer than metal, which matters for a tool used regularly.
Cleaning with coarse salt before switching spices is a clever, low-effort technique. Grinding salt through the mechanism helps clear out residue from whatever was in there before, without needing to fully disassemble it.
The black collar is a genuine identification feature, not just styling. It's specifically there to distinguish this as the pepper mill, since the matching salt mill in the same range uses a white collar instead.

Care & Use Instructions
Cleaning the exterior: Use a dry microfibre cloth, dampened for stubborn marks and dried immediately afterwards. Never submerge the mill in water or place it in the dishwasher, as this will damage the internal grinding mechanism.
Before adding a new spice: Empty the existing spice, add a tablespoon of coarse salt, adjust the grinder to fine, and grind until no more salt comes out. Remove any excess salt before adding the new spice. This also helps clean residue from the ceramic mechanism.
Deep cleaning the mechanism: Unscrew the grey adjusting wheel and carefully remove the ceramic cone, keeping the spring securely in place. Wipe loose dust from the cone with a cloth or brush, then wash the cone in water. Wipe and leave to dry thoroughly before replacing.
Use: Never use this mill above a steaming pot, as it can clog and damage the mechanism. Keep it dedicated to pepper only, since salt corrodes the mechanism if used the wrong way round.
Storage: Store in a dry location, away from steam or humidity.
