The Robert Welch Signature utensil stand stores five or more utensils in a maximum footplate of 20cm, and can be easily moved around the kitchen to be on hand for food preparation. Utensils hang around a central column to save space on the counter top, while a weight in the base keeps the stand stable whether one utensil is hanging or all five. The solid, cast stainless steel utensils are elegant, timeless and mirror polished, working just as well as serving pieces on the dining table.

Is this dishwasher safe?
The stainless steel utensils can go in the dishwasher on a short hot cycle; the black ABS stand is best cleaned with a microfibre cloth rather than in the dishwasher.

A central-column design is about saving counter space. Hanging utensils around a column is specifically what keeps them close to hand without spreading them across the worktop.
A weighted base matters more as utensils are removed. It's genuinely the base's counter-balance that keeps the stand stable even when only one utensil is left hanging.
These utensils are designed to double as serving pieces. The mirror-polished finish is specifically chosen so they look at home on the dining table, not just in the kitchen.
Mixing dishwasher and hand-wash advice protects different materials. The stainless steel utensils and black ABS stand genuinely need different care, which is why they're treated separately.

Care & Use Instructions
Stand cleaning: The matt black ABS stand is best cleaned with a dry microfibre cloth, dampened for more stubborn marks, and dried immediately after cleaning.
Dishwasher washing: Wash on a hot cycle at 65-75°C (150-167°F) for best shine and cleanliness, avoiding eco mode. Use a quality all-in-one dishwasher tablet such as Fairy Platinum Plus (or Cascade Platinum Plus in the US), and keep rinse aid and salt topped up, particularly in hard water areas. Clean dishwasher filters and use a dishwasher cleaner periodically. Avoid washing alongside aluminium or cast iron, which can cause rust marks, especially on knives (this doesn't mean the knives themselves are rusting, stainless steel can attract rust particles from non-stainless items in the dishwasher). For stubborn stains, a stainless steel cream cleaner such as Bar Keepers Friend Power Cream restores shine.
Hand washing: Rinse to remove all traces of food as soon as possible after use. Wash in warm soapy water with a microfibre cloth or non-abrasive brush, avoid soaking, and dry thoroughly immediately after washing. Avoid scouring pads or abrasive cleaners, which will scratch the surface. A dry microfibre cloth restores the finish.

How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery to mainland UK addresses can take 5-7 working days (but is usually much quicker than that), and it's free on orders over £49. Next day delivery is available for £9.95 on orders placed before 1pm Monday to Thursday, depending on your location and our stock levels. You can also collect from our shops in Cobham or Reigate, or our warehouse in Redhill.
