What Customers Ask About This Product
Is it dishwasher safe?
No, handwashing is recommended. Dishwashers can dull the blade faster and, over time, affect the handle.
What's it best used for?
Crusty rolls, baguettes, tomatoes, lemons, limes and sausages, particularly hard-rinded or tough-skinned foods.
Can it replace a bread knife?
For smaller items like rolls it works well, though the larger Signature Bread Knife suits full loaves better.
In our experience...
A serrated edge suits tough skins for a specific reason. The teeth grip and saw through a firm rind or crust without crushing the softer contents underneath, which a plain blade can struggle with.
A utility knife fills a genuine gap in most knife sets. It sits between a chef's knife and a paring knife, suited to jobs too big for one and too small to need the other.

Care & Use Instructions
Washing: Handwash recommended. Rinse to remove food traces, then wash gently in warm soapy water with a soft cloth. No need to soak. Dry each knife thoroughly and individually, and apply a non-abrasive metal polish for the best finish. Avoid scouring pads or abrasive cleaners, as these will scratch the surface.
Chopping boards: Use wood or soft plastic boards to keep the blade sharp for longest. Avoid glass, stone, metal or very hard bamboo, which can dull or damage the edge.
Handle care: Periodically apply a food-safe mineral oil to the handle to maintain its colour, wiping off any excess.
