What Customers Ask About This Product
Is it dishwasher safe?
No, handwash and dry immediately, since dishwashers can blunt and chip the blade over time.
What's it best used for?
Very thin slicing of hard ingredients like ham, as well as carving roasts, fruit and vegetables.
Which size should I choose?
The 20cm suits most everyday carving, while the 23cm gives more reach for larger joints.
In our experience...
Thin slicing needs a genuinely different blade than everyday chopping. The shape and sharpness here are specifically built for precision and consistency across each slice, which a general-purpose knife can't match as well.
A WÜSTHOF blade is built to stay sharp for longer than most. Laser-guided PEtec sharpening and edge geometry mean it holds its edge around twice as long as ordinary knives, reducing how often it needs resharpening.
A carving knife's versatility goes beyond the table. The same precision that suits carving a joint at Sunday lunch works equally well on firm fruit and vegetables.
