What Customers Ask About This Product

How much coffee does it make?

12 cup makes 595ml of brewed coffee. 9 cup makes 410ml of brewed coffee. 6 cup makes 250ml of brewed coffee. 3 cup makes 130ml of brewed coffee.

Can I use it on an induction hob?

Only with the Bialetti induction plate adapter. It's suitable for gas, electric and glass ceramic hobs.

Can I put it in the dishwasher?

No. Rinse with water only after use and don't use detergents, as the dishwasher could damage the product and affect the taste of the coffee.

In our experience...

The moka pot dates back to 1933. Alfonso Bialetti invented the Moka Express, and its shape has been recognisable ever since.

The sizes are measured in cups. A 3 cup makes 130ml of brewed coffee, while the 12 cup makes 595ml.

Filling to the valve matters. Fill the boiler up to the safety valve and no higher, or the coffee will be too watery.

Pressing the coffee down isn't the method. The funnel is filled generously with ground coffee, without pressing down.

A low flame is part of the ritual. Bialetti's advice is to set the flame to low and take your time.

Care & Use Instructions

Before each use: This coffee maker needs a heat source to work and builds up pressure inside. Before each use, make sure it isn't damaged and has all its parts, and check that the valve, funnel, gasket and filter plate are intact and correctly positioned. Not following the instructions can risk burns or the coffee maker bursting. If you have any doubts, contact the dealer or the manufacturer.

Making coffee: Pour room-temperature water into the boiler up to the safety valve, and don't go above it or your coffee will be too watery. Fill the funnel generously with ground coffee, without pressing it down. Put it on the hob on a low flame and take your time. When you hear it gurgle, the coffee is ready, so take it off the heat and enjoy.

Cleaning: Rinse with water only after each use. Do not use detergents, and do not wash it in the dishwasher, as this could damage the product and affect the taste of the coffee.

Republic of Ireland & Europe

Currently suspended:

It is not currently possible to deliver to the Republic of Ireland or mainland Europe. We hope to reinstate this service as soon as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Rest of the World

If your country is not listed — including the USA, Australia, and other destinations — this is most likely because couriers charge by volumetric weight: a combination of package size and weight that makes standard online rates impractical to calculate automatically.

Please call us on 01737 222996 with the details of your order. We will advise on shipping costs within 24 hours and ask whether you would like to proceed.

Before you order internationally, please note:

All overseas shipments are at your own risk. We recommend taking out appropriate transit insurance to cover any damage in transit.

Customs forms for all international packages declare the full value and a description of the contents. Any customs or import duties levied on arrival in your country are your responsibility. Your local customs office can provide further information.

Other Destinations

If your desired country or region is not listed, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
