Limescale is one of the biggest enemies of any machine that heats water. To extend the life of its coffee machines, JURA developed a 2-phase descaling tablet that removes scale gently and protects as it goes. The tablet has an optimised dissolving time, so it works cleanly and efficiently. These original tablets are matched to the processes and materials used in JURA automatic machines.
- Two-phase descaling: Removes scale first, then protects the machine.
- Phase one: Carefully removes all scale residue from the coffee machine.
- Phase two: Seals the fluid system and gives long-term corrosion protection for the pipes and thermoblock.
- Optimised dissolving time: Designed for clean, efficient and lasting results.
- Phosphate-free: The optimised formula guarantees TÜV-certified hygiene while protecting the environment.
What Customers Ask About This Product
Why does limescale matter?
Limescale narrows the pipes, slows heating and uses more energy, and may even cause the machine to break down. It also affects the coffee, giving the water an unpleasant aftertaste.
Can I use another descaler?
JURA says only its original descaling tablets guarantee complete hygiene and protection. Using maintenance products other than JURA cleaning tablets, descaling tablets or water filters can void your warranty.
In our experience...
Heat is what leaves scale behind. Limescale is deposited whenever water is heated.
A little calcium carbonate is fine. A small amount is important to the flavour of coffee, but too much stops the aromas developing as they should.
Scale can raise your energy use. Pipes narrowed by limescale heat the water more slowly and consume more energy.
Descaling also protects. The second phase seals the fluid system against corrosion, not just removes scale.
The tablets are made for JURA machines. JURA has optimised the formula for the processes and materials used in its automatic machines.
