What Customers Ask About This Product

Is it dishwasher safe?

We recommend handwashing rather than the dishwasher, to protect the enamel finish over time.

How should I clean it day to day?

For everyday cleaning, water alone is best, as this helps the natural patina develop on the enamel interior. Warm soapy water is fine for first use or for soaking off stuck-on food.

Is it suitable for induction hobs?

Yes. Just make sure you use it on the most appropriately sized ring, as using the wrong size on an induction hob can mean it doesn't get recognised.

Is this a seasonal design or part of the regular range?

It's a distinctive seasonal piece, ideal for autumnal tablescapes, rather than a permanent part of the standard range.

In our experience...

The stem-shaped knob is a genuine design detail, not just a novelty. It's specifically shaped to echo a real pumpkin stem, which is part of what makes this piece work as a table centrepiece.

A flat, wide shape suits different cooking to a deep pot. It's specifically built for braising and simmering, where more surface contact helps liquid reduce and flavours concentrate.

The patina is meant to build up, not be scrubbed away. Cleaning with just water rather than soap for everyday use helps the enamel interior develop the non-stick like surface it's known for over time.

A seasonal piece is worth buying with intention. Since it's a distinctive autumnal design, it's the kind of piece people tend to buy for a specific table moment rather than as a general replacement casserole.

Cold water is still the enemy of hot cast iron. Plunging a hot casserole into cold water risks cracking the enamel, so always let it cool for 10 to 15 minutes first.

Care & Use Instructions

Before first use: Wash in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.

While cooking: Always use oven gloves when handling anything hot. Use Le Creuset silicone, wood or heat-resistant plastic tools where possible. Metal utensils can be used with care but shouldn't be used harshly or scraped over the surface. Cook on a medium or low heat and let it heat up gradually, and use the most appropriately sized hob ring, especially on induction.

Glass hobs: Never slide the casserole across a glass-topped hob, as this can damage both the base and the glass. Always lift it on, off, or across the surface.

Everyday cleaning and the patina: Clean with water alone where possible, rather than soap, to help the enamel interior develop its natural non-stick patina over time.

Cleaning stuck-on food: Let it cool before cleaning. Wipe off any leftovers, and soak stuck-on food in warm soapy water for 15 to 20 minutes before washing. Avoid abrasive cleaners, metal scourers or stiff brushes. Dry well and store in a dry place.

Washing: We recommend handwashing rather than the dishwasher, to protect the enamel finish over time.

How long does delivery take?

Standard delivery to mainland UK addresses can take 5-7 working days (but is usually much quicker than that), and it's free on orders over £49. You can also collect from our shops in Cobham or Reigate, or our warehouse in Redhill.

Can I collect this item instead of having it delivered?

Yes. You can collect from our Reigate shop (72 High Street, RH2 9AP), our Cobham shop (16 Anyards Road, KT11 2JZ), or our warehouse in Redhill (40 Ormside Way, RH1 2LW). Just select click and collect at checkout. If the option isn't available, this is because there isn't enough stock in your selected collection location. Please get in touch and we can organise stock to be transferred to the right place.

How do I register my Le Creuset product for the guarantee?

It is not currently possible to deliver to the Republic of Ireland or mainland Europe. We hope to reinstate this service as soon as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Rest of the World

If your country is not listed — including the USA, Australia, and other destinations — this is most likely because couriers charge by volumetric weight: a combination of package size and weight that makes standard online rates impractical to calculate automatically.

Please call us on 01737 222996 with the details of your order. We will advise on shipping costs within 24 hours and ask whether you would like to proceed.

Before you order internationally, please note:

All overseas shipments are at your own risk. We recommend taking out appropriate transit insurance to cover any damage in transit.

Customs forms for all international packages declare the full value and a description of the contents. Any customs or import duties levied on arrival in your country are your responsibility. Your local customs office can provide further information.

If your desired country or region is not listed, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
