The Black+Blum Glass Lunch Bowl Slate is the larger sibling to the Glass Lunch Pot, with a 750ml borosilicate glass bowl set inside a sustainably sourced wood fibre base and topped with a stainless steel lid. The glass and silicone lid are both microwave and oven safe, and a silicone ring built into the base helps protect the glass if dropped and keeps it steady on a moving surface. It's dishwasher and freezer safe too.

The wood fibre base does more than protect the glass. It barely retains heat, so it's safe to handle straight out of the microwave.
The silicone base ring is a small but useful detail. It cushions the glass if dropped and stops it sliding on a moving surface like a train or plane tray.
Glass needs a gentle temperature transition. Avoid moving it straight from fridge to oven, or oven to a cold surface.
A stiff steel lid is a quick fix. A wipe of vegetable oil on the thread usually sorts it.

Care & Use Instructions
Microwave: Glass bowl, wood fibre base and silicone lid are microwave safe, the stainless steel lid is not. Heat 2 minutes maximum at a time, stirring and repeating if needed.
Oven: Only the glass bowl and silicone lid are oven safe. Bring to room temperature first and avoid direct contact with a grill or flame.
Dishwasher: All parts are dishwasher safe, ideally on the top rack.
Freezer: All parts are freezer safe. Leave room for expansion and fully defrost before reheating.

How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery to mainland UK addresses can take 5-7 working days (but is usually much quicker than that), and it's free on orders over £49. Next day delivery is available for £9.95 on orders placed before 1pm Monday to Thursday, depending on your location and our stock levels. You can also collect from our shops in Cobham or Reigate, or our warehouse in Redhill.
