Quick Overview: Le Creuset Craft Large Spatula with removable dishwasher-safe silicone head. Heat resistant to 250C, non-stick safe, wooden handle.

The Le Creuset Craft Large Spatula is the bigger sibling in the Craft range, designed for the tasks where more surface area makes a real difference. The broad silicone head handles dense ingredients, large quantities, and generous scooping movements with ease, whilst remaining gentle on non-stick and enamelled surfaces. The wooden handle keeps the grip comfortable over heat, and the head detaches for dishwasher cleaning. If you regularly cook in larger pans or for more people, this is the spatula that will get the most use.

  • Removable dishwasher-safe head: The large silicone head detaches from the wooden handle for dishwasher cleaning, making thorough cleaning straightforward even after use with dense or sticky ingredients.
  • Heat resistant to 250 degrees C: The premium silicone is rated for use in the oven and microwave as well as on the hob, handling every stage of a recipe from start to finish.
  • Non-stick safe silicone: The flexible silicone head will not scratch or damage non-stick, enamelled, or stainless surfaces, keeping cookware in good condition over time.
  • Wooden handle for comfort: The wooden handle stays cooler than silicone or metal during cooking, remaining comfortable to hold during extended use over heat.
  • Larger head for bigger tasks: The larger head is designed for processing dense ingredients like dough and minced meat, or for stirring, scooping, and serving larger quantities in a single movement.

What Customers Ask About This Product

Can I leave the head attached when I wash it?

It is better to remove the head before washing. Water can become trapped between the silicone and the wooden handle, which can damage the wood over time. Separating the two parts ensures both clean and dry properly.

When should I choose this over the Medium Spatula?

The Large Spatula suits larger pans, bigger batches, and denser ingredients where the medium size does not quite have enough surface area to be effective. If you regularly cook for four or more people or work with large quantities of dough or minced meat, the large is the more practical choice for those tasks.

Is it safe on enamelled cast iron?

Yes. The silicone will not chip or scratch enamel, making it safe to use directly in Le Creuset cast iron casseroles and braisers.

In our experience...

The wooden handle is the detail most people notice first. Silicone handles and metal handles both conduct heat more readily than wood. The wooden handle on these Le Creuset tools stays comfortable to hold for longer during cooking, which matters most when you are stirring something continuously over heat.

Removing the head before dishwashing is important, not just convenient. Water can get trapped between the silicone head and the wooden handle if you wash the assembled tool. Removing the head means both parts dry properly and the handle does not suffer water damage over time.

Silicone at 250 degrees C covers everything a domestic hob and oven can throw at it. Most home cooking happens well below 250 degrees C. The heat resistance is a genuine safety margin rather than a theoretical maximum you are unlikely to reach.

Non-stick safe does not mean scratch-proof forever. Premium silicone is considerably gentler on non-stick coatings than metal utensils, but any tool used repeatedly over a non-stick surface will eventually show some wear on the coating. Silicone just extends that lifespan significantly compared to the alternatives.

Le Creuset silicone tools are designed to work across the full cookware range. They are particularly well matched to Le Creuset's own non-stick and enamelled cast iron pieces, but the silicone head is safe on any non-stick, stainless, or enamelled surface.

Rest of the World

If your country is not listed — including the USA, Australia, and other destinations — this is most likely because couriers charge by volumetric weight: a combination of package size and weight that makes standard online rates impractical to calculate automatically.

Please call us on 01737 222996 with the details of your order. We will advise on shipping costs within 24 hours and ask whether you would like to proceed.

Before you order internationally, please note:

All overseas shipments are at your own risk. We recommend taking out appropriate transit insurance to cover any damage in transit.

Customs forms for all international packages declare the full value and a description of the contents. Any customs or import duties levied on arrival in your country are your responsibility. Your local customs office can provide further information.
