What Customers Ask About This Product
How do I use it?
Seat the corkscrew squarely on the neck of the bottle, centre the tip on the cork, and screw in until half a turn remains visible. Place the notch on the bottle lip using the built-in step for leverage, then lift the handle in one smooth motion to remove the cork.
Is it dishwasher safe?
This isn't confirmed for this product, so we'd recommend handwashing or wiping with a damp cloth to be safe.
Is the tip sharp?
Yes, take care when cleaning or using it, as the tip of the corkscrew is sharp.
Where is it made?
It's manufactured in China.
In our experience...
The 'waiter's friend' style is popular for a reason. Its compact, hinged design gives real leverage without needing a bulky lever-style opener.
The foil cutter and bottle opener earn their place. Having both built in means you genuinely don't need a separate tool to get a bottle open from start to finish.
Technique matters more than strength here. Centring the tip on the cork and using the built-in step for leverage does most of the work, rather than forcing it.
The tip needs respect, not just care during use. It's sharp enough to need a bit of caution when cleaning it too, not only when opening a bottle.
A wood handle is chosen for grip as much as looks. Black walnut gives a genuinely comfortable, secure hold compared with a plain metal handle.

Care & Use Instructions
Before first use: Unbox and remove all packaging and labels.
Cleaning: Take care as you clean, since the tip of the corkscrew is sharp. Clean occasionally using a damp cloth or warm soapy water, then dry well and store in a dry place.
Use: Hold the bottle on a solid, level surface. Seat the corkscrew squarely on the neck of the bottle before opening, being careful of the sharp tip. Open the spiral and lever into a 'T' shape, centre the tip on the cork, apply slight pressure, and screw in until half a turn remains visible. Place the notch on the bottle lip using the built-in step for leverage, then lift the handle in one smooth motion to fully remove the cork. Unscrew the cork from the spiral, then fold the spiral and arm back into the closed position.
