Perfect for searing steaks, cooking frittatas and baking desserts, this skillet goes from hob to oven to table. Its satin black enamel interior builds up a natural patina with use, for better and better food release.
- Hob, oven and grill: Works on every hob, including induction, in the oven and under the grill.
- Patina-building interior: The black enamel develops a natural patina that helps food release.
- Helper handle: A second handle for easier lifting between hob, oven and table.
- Pouring spouts: Spouts on both sides for drip-free pouring.
- Heat retention: Cast iron keeps food warmer at the table for longer.
What Customers Ask About This Product
How do I build up the patina?
Use it regularly and clean it with water only. Le Creuset say this lets the patina develop, so food releases more easily over time.
How close to the grill can it go?
Leave at least 5cm between the grill and the top rim of the skillet. Le Creuset recommend this gap for all their cast iron used under a grill.
Can I use it on a barbecue or in a pizza oven?
No. Le Creuset advise against barbecues, open fires and pizza ovens, because the uncontrolled heat can seriously damage cast iron. Keep it to the hob and oven.
Can I store leftovers in it?
Yes. The enamel is non-porous, so it's fine for keeping raw or cooked food in the fridge. Let it cool to room temperature first, and make sure your fridge shelf can take the weight.
In our experience...
Leave food to release. Seared food lifts away on its own once a crust forms, so give it time before turning.
Pat food dry first. Moisture stops a crust forming, so pat steaks and fish dry with kitchen paper before they go in the pan.
Rest your steak. Letting a steak rest for a few minutes after searing keeps the juices in when you cut it.

Care & Use Instructions
Before first use: Remove all labels and packaging, then wash in warm, soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
Cooking: Use low to medium heat, even for frying and searing, and let it heat up gradually. Use the hob ring closest in size to the base, and lift it on and off glass hobs rather than sliding it. Always use oven gloves, as the handles get hot.
Utensils: Silicone, wooden or heat-resistant plastic utensils are best for protecting the enamel.
Cleaning: Always wash by hand. Let it cool first, then soak any stuck-on food in warm, soapy water for 15 to 20 minutes. Avoid abrasive cleaners and scourers, and dry thoroughly before storing.
