What Customers Ask About This Product
What is it best used for?
Everyday cooking and serving, and it's strong enough for soups, sauces and stews.
Is it dishwasher safe?
No. Hand wash only, and don't submerge it in water, as this will cause the wood to split.
Can I use it over a direct flame?
No, keep it away from direct flame.
In our experience...
A spoon should match the job. A sturdy wooden spoon copes with thick soups, sauces and stews.
A hanging hole saves drawer space. The cartouche opening lets you hang it within easy reach.
Smooth wood is kinder to hands and pans. A smooth finish is comfortable to hold and gentle on cookware.
Wood and water don't mix for long. Soaking or dishwashing wood is what causes it to split, which is why a quick hand wash is the way to keep it going.
Wooden utensils protect your pans. Beech wood is gentle on non-stick surfaces and other delicate cookware, so it won't scratch the way harder tools can.
