Made from Fine Bone China, this oversized Dunoon mug is fine, but also durable and the clean white finish accentuates the colours and designs. Goes very well with the 'His Lordship' mug (sold separately). Although dishwasher safe, as with any mug the colours will fade over time, so we would recommend hand washing.

Specification

Fine Bone China clays are sourced from Cornwall, S.W. England, creating a piece that is brilliant white, translucent and yet very resilient. With a commitment to manufacturing to the highest standards, Dunoon craftsmen use a process known as 'slip casting' (using liquid clay; not machine made) to achieve a finished mug that is fine to the touch, light to hold and a pleasure to use. Throughout every stage of the manufacturing process each one of our products is handled by a skilled craftsman, maintaining Dunoon's reputation of nearly 40 years of excellence in pottery making.

Washing
Washing your Dunoon product by hand offers the safest long-term protection. Avoid abrasive cleaners and scourers as these can scratch. Dunoon products can be used in the dishwasher, unless they have precious metal decoration. Dishwasher detergents vary in strength and some are quite caustic in their action. Use a mild detergent and follow the instructions as to the concentration. All on-glaze decorated ceramics will eventually fade in the dishwasher.

Tea & Coffee stains
The removal of lead from glazes to meet health legislation has rendered ceramic ware more susceptible to staining. Always rinse immediately after use. A build up of stain can easily be removed with a soak in a weak solution of bleach.

Microwave
Dunoon products can be used in the microwave, except where they have precious metal decoration.

If your desired country is not listed (USA, Australia etc.) this is most likely because couriers charge by "Volumetric Weight" i.e. a combination of how large and how heavy the package is. Please note that any overseas shipment is at your own risk and you will hence need to take out insurance to cover any damage in transit.

Customs forms for all international packages list the value of the contents as well as a description of the items. Any customs or import duties levied once the package reaches your country must be borne by you. Your local customs office will be able to provide you with further information.
