Le Creuset 3-ply Stainless Steel 6 Piece Cookware Set
This Le Creuset cookware set combines professional-grade construction with practical versatility. The 3-ply design bonds three layers of metal together: a magnetic stainless steel base for induction compatibility, an aluminium core that spreads heat evenly, and a mirror-polished stainless steel exterior that resists staining and maintains its appearance over time.
The set provides essential pieces for everyday cooking and entertaining. You get two saucepans with lids for sauces and sides, a deep casserole with lid for one-pot meals, a multisteamer with glass lid for vegetables and dumplings, a non-stick frying pan for eggs and delicate foods, and a roaster for Sunday joints and bakes.
This set includes:
- 16cm Saucepan with Lid: For sauces, small portions and reheating
- 18cm Saucepan with Lid: Ideal for vegetables, rice and pasta sides
- Large Multisteamer with Glass Lid: For steaming vegetables, dumplings and fish
- 24cm Deep Casserole with Lid: Perfect for one-pot meals, stews and casseroles
- 24cm Non-Stick Frying Pan: For eggs, pancakes and delicate foods
- 35cm Roaster: Suitable for Sunday roasts, bakes and gratins
Suitable for cooks wanting professional-quality cookware that works across different cooking methods. The stainless steel construction allows high-temperature searing and browning, whilst the included non-stick frying pan handles delicate foods that benefit from lower-fat cooking.
What Customers Ask About Le Creuset 3-ply Stainless Steel Set
Is this compatible with induction hobs?
Yes, the magnetic stainless steel base makes this set compatible with all hob types including induction, as well as gas, electric, and ceramic hobs. The flat base ensures good contact with induction surfaces for efficient heating.
Can these go in the oven?
Yes, the cookware is oven safe up to 260°C. The lids are heat resistant to 220°C, so if you're cooking above that temperature, leave the lids off. This makes the set suitable for recipes that start on the hob and finish in the oven.
What is 3-ply construction?
3-ply means three layers of metal bonded together: a magnetic stainless steel base for induction compatibility, an aluminium core for even heat distribution, and a mirror-polished stainless steel exterior. This construction ensures even heating with no hot spots, unlike single-layer pans which can develop hot spots where food burns.
Are these dishwasher safe?
All pieces are dishwasher safe other than the non-stick frying pan. This should be hand washed to preserve the non-stick coating as harsh detergents and dishwasher salts will erode the coating over time.
How does stainless steel compare to non-stick?
Stainless steel is more durable and can handle higher temperatures, ideal for searing and browning. It requires more fat for cooking and food may stick initially until the pan reaches the right temperature. This set includes one non-stick frying pan for eggs and delicate foods, giving you the best of both materials.

Care & Use Instructions
Before first use: Wash all pieces in warm soapy water or dishwasher to remove any manufacturing residue. Dry thoroughly.
Cooking with stainless steel: Preheat the pan on medium heat before adding oil or butter. Food will stick if the pan is too cold or there's insufficient fat. Wait until food releases naturally before turning - it will let go when properly seared. The water drop test helps determine when the pan is ready: when a drop of water forms a ball and dances across the surface, it's at the right temperature.
Daily cleaning: Dishwasher safe on any cycle. For hand washing, use warm soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. For stuck-on food, fill with warm water and a drop of washing-up liquid, bring to a simmer, then scrape gently with a wooden spoon. For stubborn marks, a paste of bicarbonate of soda and water works well.
Removing discolouration: Rainbow-coloured heat marks and white calcium deposits are normal. Clean with white vinegar or a stainless steel cleaner. Avoid using bleach or chlorine-based cleaners which can damage the surface.
Non-stick frying pan care: Use low to medium heat only. Avoid metal utensils which can scratch the coating. Hand washing is recommended for the non-stick pan to extend the coating life.
Avoid: Don't heat empty pans - always add oil or food first. Don't use abrasive scourers on the exterior mirror finish. Don't plunge hot pans into cold water, which can cause warping.
Storage: Stack the pieces with pan protectors or tea towels between them to prevent scratching the mirror finish. Store lids separately or use the hanging loops if available.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I've used it and don't like it?
Return it anyway. Our no quibble guarantee covers used items - if it doesn't do what you wanted, we'll refund you. This applies even after you've cooked with it.
How does the Half-Price Replacement guarantee work?
Valid for 2 years from purchase date. If you accidentally break any piece in this set, we'll replace it at half price with proof of purchase and evidence of breakage. Photos of the damage are acceptable.
How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery to mainland UK addresses can take up to 7 working days, but is usually 3-4, and is free for orders over £49. Next day delivery may be available for £9.95 on orders placed before 1pm Monday to Thursday, depending on your location and our stock levels. You can also collect from our shops in Cobham or Reigate, or our warehouse in Redhill.
How do I claim on the lifetime warranty?
Le Creuset's lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects. Contact us with your proof of purchase and photos of the issue. We'll assess whether it's a manufacturing defect or normal wear, and arrange replacement or repair with Le Creuset if covered.
Can I buy individual pieces if something breaks?
Le Creuset stainless steel pieces are available individually, though not all sizes may always be in stock. Contact us if you need to replace a specific piece from this set and we'll check availability.
How do I prevent food sticking to stainless steel?
Preheat the pan on medium heat, add sufficient fat (oil or butter), and wait until food releases naturally before turning. Food sticks when the pan is too cold or there's insufficient fat. The water drop test helps - when a drop dances on the surface, it's ready.
Can I use this set on an Aga?
Yes, the stainless steel construction is suitable for Aga hotplates and ovens. The pieces can move between different Aga zones. However, the very high heat of an Aga hotplate may cause more discolouration than standard hobs.
