Mazagran Iced Coffee Cocktail
Mazagran is prepared with strong, hot coffee that is poured over ice, and it is typically served in a narrow, tall glass. It has also been described as "coffee taken with water instead of milk".
Ingredients
- Single or double shot of espresso
- 1 tbsp sugar, or to taste
- The juice from half a lemon
- ¼ cup cold water
- 30 ml rum
- Ice cubes
- A few mint leaves
Method
- Add the sugar to the espresso so that it dissolves, then pour it in a bowl and let it cool.
- To the cooled espresso, add the water, lemon juice and rum.
- Pile the ice in a tall glass and pour the espresso mixture over it. Pile the ice in a tall glass and pour the espresso mixture over it.
- Tuck the mint leaves into the glass.
