Mazagran Iced Coffee Cocktail

Mazagran is prepared with strong, hot coffee that is poured over ice, and it is typically served in a narrow, tall glass. It has also been described as "coffee taken with water instead of milk".


Ingredients

  • Single or double shot of espresso
  • 1 tbsp sugar, or to taste
  • The juice from half a lemon
  • ¼ cup cold water
  • 30 ml rum
  • Ice cubes
  • A few mint leaves

Method

  1. Add the sugar to the espresso so that it dissolves, then pour it in a bowl and let it cool.
  2. To the cooled espresso, add the water, lemon juice and rum.

  4. Tuck the mint leaves into the glass.
